Overwhelmingly Abundant - Giclee Fine Art Print

Overwhelmingly Abundant has been months in the making and has changed beyond recognition along the way. It actually began as a leopard amongst giant leaves... but sometimes a painting has other ideas.

I've worked on it in little pockets of time during what has been a very emotional period of my life, and perhaps that's why finally finishing it feels particularly special.

There is an abundance of everything in this piece — colour, nature, pattern, tiny details and emotion. Look closely and there is always something else to discover. Each individual detail has been carefully considered and is quite orderly in itself, yet together they create something almost overwhelming for the eye.

Maybe that's why Overwhelmingly Abundant feels like the right name.

This is a painting that has evolved slowly, layer upon layer, without me ever quite knowing where it was going to end.

Sometimes you just have to keep adding the layers and trust where they take you.
